Critical Chance Collective
Everyone deserves a seat at the table.
At Critical Chance Collective, we use the magic of games, role-playing, and storytelling to bring people together. We believe that shared stories create shared strength — and that everyone, regardless of background or experience, deserves the chance to discover the confidence, creativity, and connection that table-top play can offer.

Our Mission
We are Critical Chance Collective, a Glasgow-based organisation that brings people together through the power of collaborative storytelling. Our mission is simple but profound – to help communities connect, create, and imagine together.
Storytelling and play have always been at the heart of human connection. When people share in creating a story something special happens; barriers drop, laughter grows, confidence builds, and imagination flourishes. It’s a form of creativity that supports mental wellbeing, belonging, and joy.
Our work so far
We’ve already worked with groups such as The Hobby Clan, ACVC Hub, Moogety Garden in Govan, and Unity Enterprise, receiving overwhelmingly positive feedback and requests for repeat sessions. Traditionally we’ve run sessions through community partners, but after presenting at the Glasgow Southside Soup event, we were impressed by the interest expressed from the public in joining sessions themselves.
We are partnering with the Glasgow Zine Library in Govanhill and other community venues throughout Glasgow to run regular storytelling evenings. Our goal is to deliver monthly “pay-what-you-can” sessions open to everyone, with no expectation or pressure to pay.
Who we are …
A community-led not-for-profit dedicated to making storytelling, role-playing, and table-top gaming accessible to everyone — especially those who face social, financial, or cultural barriers.
We are a new organisation, but our team brings a century of combined experience in storytelling, community work, and the third sector.
Facilitators, storytellers, and educators who believe in the power of play to build confidence, inspire creativity, and create meaningful connections.
Advocates for inclusion and accessibility, committed to creating safe, welcoming spaces where people of all backgrounds can explore, imagine, and belong.
A growing collective of future storytellers, training participants from within the communities we serve so they can one day lead sessions of their own.
